Our Commitment
The Sissonne Difference
Every piece in the Sissonne Outdoor range has been carefully selected to meet the quality and sustainability benchmarks at the heart of our brand. Unlike most furniture today, our pieces are designed to last for many years, withstanding the Australian climate while looking as beautiful as the day they arrived.

The Foundation
A-Grade Teak
We use only A-Grade teak, the highest classification available, sourced from sustainably managed Indonesian plantations. Known for its exceptional durability, natural oil content, and resistance to weathering, A-Grade teak is the gold standard for outdoor furniture. Its tight grain and rich golden-brown tone make it as beautiful as it is functional, requiring minimal maintenance to last decades outdoors.

All-Weather Performance
All-Weather Fabric
Our cushions are upholstered in high-performance outdoor fabrics engineered to resist UV fading, moisture, mould, and mildew. Collections such as Blueys and Cottesloe feature solution-dyed acrylic fabrics, while our newest collections use Sunproof, a 100% solution-dyed olefin fabric purpose-built for the elements. Unlike standard indoor fabrics adapted for outdoor use, these textiles retain their colour and structural integrity through years of sun, rain, and salt air. We can also customise cushions locally in the fabric of your choice, including Sunbrella.

Coastal-Grade Strength
Marine-Grade Rope
Where rope weaving features in our collection, we use marine-grade rope developed for harsh coastal environments. This material offers outstanding tensile strength and resistance to UV, saltwater, and humidity, making it far superior to standard synthetic rope used in mass-market outdoor furniture. Hand-woven by skilled artisans, each piece reflects both technical precision and considered craftsmanship.

Comfort That Dries Fast
Quick-Dry Foam
Our cushion cores use high-density quick-dry foam designed specifically for outdoor use. Unlike standard foam that retains moisture and degrades rapidly when exposed to rain, our foam drains and dries within hours, preventing mould and maintaining its shape and support over time. The result is a cushion that looks and feels as good in its fifth year as it did on arrival.

The Look of Natural Rattan
ECOLENE Wicker
ECOLENE is a premium synthetic wicker produced by one of Europe's leading suppliers. Made from high-density polyethylene, it is UV-stabilised, colourfast, and designed to withstand the harshest outdoor conditions without cracking, fading, or losing its form. Unlike natural rattan or lower-grade synthetic alternatives, ECOLENE maintains a consistent, luxurious appearance across many years of outdoor use.

Sculptural Strength
Fibreglass
Selected pieces in our collection feature fibreglass shells and structural elements. Fibreglass offers an exceptional strength-to-weight ratio, is completely weatherproof, and can be formed into flowing, sculptural shapes that are impossible to achieve in timber or metal. It does not rust, rot, or warp, making it ideal for statement outdoor pieces designed to be left outside year-round.

Raw Architectural Beauty
Microcement
Our microcement table tops are finished using a specialist technique that produces a smooth, seamless surface with the aesthetic of raw concrete. Treated with a protective sealer, the surface is resistant to staining, moisture, and everyday wear while remaining lightweight relative to solid concrete. Each piece has a subtly unique texture, giving it the character of a handcrafted object rather than a mass-produced product.
